Fitness Definition

Fitness has many definitions when we define them from various aspects such as biological fitness, emotional, mental, and 
physical fitness. but here we will discuss all about physical fitness.

Fitness is defined as the state of physically fit and obviously healthy and also the ability to perform sporty activities, fitness is not just enclosed with the boundaries of physical fitness but also it’s related to mental and emotional well being. 

The procedure of being fit can vary from people to people for some it can be loosing the excess fat from the body for others it can be gaining muscles for some it can be just keeping up with the healthy habits and diet in day to day life, but doing muscle workouts gaining them and losing fat is just not even enough for being fit. if the following 10 components are present in your body then only you can be considered as fit.

Components of fitness:-

  4. Flexibility
  5. Body composition 
  6. Power
  7. Speed
  8. Agility
  9. Accuracy
  10. Coordination 
  11. Balance
 In order to be fit we can do these following types of exercise:-
  1. Aerobic exercises 
  2. Anaerobic exercises 
  3. Training 
  4. High-intensity interval training

Aerobic Exercise
This exercise is basically training the cardiovascular such as heart and lungs, this exercise usually checks the amount of oxygen supply in the body and also checks the cardiovascular fitness, it also increases stamina. This fitness can be checked using high-tech equipment by using “ VO2 max “, a measure of the amount of oxygen the body can take and utilize. 

  • Jogging
  • Elliptical training
  • Walking
  • Treadmill training
  • Cycling is such a simple example of the above-mentioned exercises.

Anaerobic Exercise
Anaerobic exercise is high-intensity body movements performed in a short period of time, this exercise usually does not require oxygen as its energy source unlike aerobic exercises. It also promotes strength, endurance, speed, and power, this kind of exercises are usually done by bodybuilders. this is supposed to increase metabolic rates which allow burning fat once it ended 
Examples are:- 
  • Weight lifting 
  • Isometrics
  • Sprinting
  • Interval training 

Training Exercise
These are sets of exercises are which are basically done to perform particular activities with reasonable efficiency, this kind of exercise are basically performed in military services and in sports.
Examples are:-
  • 100 m sprint 
  • Century Ride
  • Middle distance running 
  • Marathon 
  • Hill sprints 
  • Plyometric and isometrics 
  • Sand running 
  • Aqua jogging 
  • Swimming 
  • Squattings etc are such exercises that lie in this category.

High – intensity interval exercises
HIGH-INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING (HIIT) these exercises are usually short bursts of exercises done in high intensity ( high speed ), these exercises are usually divided into high – low-intensity exercises, such as 40 secs high intensity 10- 20-sec rest, depending upon the body ratio which will follow the HIIT the intervals changes, this kind of exercises are considered to be most beneficial and effective till now as it helps in cardiovascular, stamina, power, strength and many more. many people excuses as lack of time to not to able to do their exercises, but this is alternatives for those cause this can be as short as 10 minutes.
